Arc Room
A sequence of arched rooms carved from an existing apartment, finished entirely in mineral plaster.
An apartment of disconnected rooms became a single enfilade. New arched openings align on one axis so that light travels the length of the plan.
Design concept
Carve rather than add. The arch is repeated at one size so the rooms feel like one continuous space.
Material strategy
Hand-applied mineral plaster, oiled oak floors and linen. Furniture was sourced and specified by the studio.
Spatial planning
Public rooms follow the axis; storage and services are hidden in the thickened walls between arches.
Architectural details
Concealed lighting coves trace the underside of each arch.
