Linea Offices
A workplace building defined by a precise vertical rhythm and deep, shading reveals.
An infill site between two older buildings. The new facade takes its proportions from its neighbours and translates them into a contemporary, repetitive order.
Design concept
Rhythm instead of ornament. Fins of varying depth control glare and give the facade a changing depth of shadow through the day.
Material strategy
Pre-cast concrete fins, bronze-anodised window frames and a dark stone base at street level.
Spatial planning
Open, column-free floors around a compact core allow tenants to plan freely, with a double-height lobby connecting to the street.
Architectural details
Fins are cast in a single repeated mould, rotated to produce variation without added cost.
